What to Expect

The PAUSE Network hosts online and in-person events to support you and your business.

โ‹ Online business self-care days

Dedicated spaces to step back and tend to your own business. We begin by settling in having a moment to pause and ground ourselves before the day unfolds through a steady rhythm of focused work sessions, check-ins, and supportive breaks. Youโ€™ll be guided through an agenda covering things like reviewing your offers, getting on top of finances, organising digital clutter, creating content, and making decisions youโ€™ve been putting off. Working alongside other business owners creates a natural sense of focus and accountability, making it easier to tackle the tasks that often get pushed aside. Think of it as 12 intentional days across the year to support the other 353, keeping your admin in check without it taking over your life. Iโ€™m hoping that, by the end of the day, things feel less stuck and more in motion. Thereโ€™s more clarity, more momentum, and a sense of shared experience that makes running a business feel lighter. Explore more here.

โ‹ Online coworking

Twice a week, we meet up for 2-hour coworking sessions. We start with a quick check-in to gauge everyoneโ€™s capacity, allowing each member to share how theyโ€™re feeling. This sets the tone for our session and sparks meaningful conversation. Next, we dive into focused 25-minute work blocks, supplemented by short breaks to regroup and share our progress. Bring your stuckness, your to-do list, and your honest self; this is a space for vulnerability and support. We encourage you to share your wins, whether it's a completed email or a project milestone. By the end, youโ€™ll leave feeling lighter, more connected, and with tangible progress you can celebrate. It's not just about getting things done; itโ€™s about working mindfully and intentionally alongside a supportive community. More info below!

โ‹ Online workshops

Online workshops covering a range of topics from me and special guests. You can expect to learn everything from building your own Squarespace website, getting started as a sole trader in the UK, and organising the behind-the-scenes of your business so things run more smoothly. Alongside the practical side, weโ€™ll explore the human side of running a business too - like ways to regulate your nervous system, build confidence and restore self-belief, work with tools like EFT (aka โ€˜tappingโ€™), and navigate visibility, pricing, and decision-making in a way that feels sustainable for your energy and capacity.

The aim is never to overload you with more things to think aboutโ€ฆthese are workshops to empower you and help you find ways of working that feel clearer, more supportive, and actually doable.

Online coworking

We have two coworking sessions every week:

  • Mon 2pm - 4pm

  • Thurs 10am - 12pm

In these two hours we begin with a short check-in, taking a moment to ground ourselves and settle into the session together. From there, we move into 25-minute focus blocks using the Pomodoro Technique. After each work block we regroup, giving you the chance to ask for help, share progress, or receive support from the group before moving into the next 25-minute block.

This rhythm continues throughout the session, creating space for steady progress without pressure. There is optional accountability, and a supportive environment where you can bring your to-do list and your stuckness!

  • "Iโ€™ve joined quite a few of the PAUSE Network co-working sessions now... the working blocks really help to focus my mind and not overwhelm myself if a job is quite large. Heather helps clarify what each person is going to set out to do, & how much theyโ€™d like to check back in with as well, which is a hugely empathetic way of guiding the session. In these intervals you can share as much or as little as you like, with Heather & the other members offering insights if needed, before the next working block begins. Iโ€™ve been so productive during these sessions, so much so that I look forward to the next one, as I know that I will get so much more work done than when Iโ€™m left to my own devicesโ€ฆ.โ€

    โ€” Paget, Scholars Cakes

  • "For me thereโ€™s several reasons [why coworking works well for me]โ€ฆ Accountability โ€“ it helps to eliminate faff and distractions. Life is so unbelievably loud these days and our attention is constantly being pulled in so many different directions, which is exhausting. But when youโ€™re co-working you are working in community, so thereโ€™s accountability for what you said youโ€™d do and thereโ€™s a reciprocal accountability, honouring listening and being interested in what others are doing. Community โ€“ building relationships with women. This is nervous system work. Weโ€™re working together and weโ€™re co-regulating. Women are wired for connection and our nervous system needs connection to thrive. The PAUSE Network specifically... thereโ€™s no performance, just support, laughs and connection. Being in community with fellow supportive women is also boosting our oxytocin."

  • โ€œWhen youโ€™re at home by yourself, you just tend to get distracted very easily and it can feel quite lonelyโ€ฆ Whereas when I come to the co-working sessions, we have these 25-minute bursts of work that are really productive. We check in, we have a chat, and itโ€™s like the ideal balance of connection and chat, but actually getting stuff done. Iโ€™ve found that Iโ€™m so productive in those two hours and I also had a really good time. So it makes work fun. I would highly recommend coming along.โ€

    โ€” Lauren, Cosmicology.space

  • โ€œโ€ฆItโ€™s such a lovely group of supportive women and itโ€™s great to have some company and support. Just having you all on for a couple of hours whilst Iโ€™m working makes me so much more productive.โ€

    โ€” Alex, Travel Counsellor

  • "As someone who works for themselves from home, whilst juggling the family and life balls, our weekly co-working sessions give me steadiness and have made a huge difference. With protected time to talk through ideas, challenges and priorities, focusing is so much easier. Heather has a calm, supportive way of helping me untangle tasks and steady my thinking without pressure."

Business self-care days

One day a month, 10am - 3pm (UK)

Days to work in your business - catch up on all those things that keep your business ticking and your mind clear from clutter!

We begin with a meditation - giving you a moment to pause.

Then, the day unfolds through a steady rhythm of focused work sessions, gentle check-ins, and supportive breaks, helping you make progress without pressure.

The flow of the day looks like this:

  • 10:00 - 1020 Welcome and grounding meditation

  • 1020 - 1100 Reflect on how youโ€™re feeling in your business: open discussion and prompts to explore the shifts in your energy, think about how to work with your changing capacity, manage your boundaries, and think about what matters most to you now.

  • 1100 - 1115 Review your offers and pricing and make any decisions about changes based on your earlier reflections.

  • 1115 - 1120 Break - get up and move / hydrate

  • 1120 - 1220 Review website copy OR client onboarding process (2 ร— 25-min focus blocks with room for discussions)

  • 1220 - 1300 Create one piece of social media content OR write a marketing email OR write a blog outline (2 ร— 25-min focus blocks with room for discussions)

  • 1300 - 1340 Break for lunch and movement

  • 1340 - 1440 Digital file declutter OR sort finance admin (2 ร— 25-min focus blocks with room for discussions)

  • 1440 - 1455 Decide on 3 business priorities for the next month (Iโ€™ll follow up with you after 2 weeks for an accountability check-in on those things

  • 1455 - 1500 Wrap up / goodbyes

Admin can be dull, isolating, and very easy to avoid when youโ€™re working alone. But when youโ€™re doing it alongside other business owners, something shifts. Thereโ€™s a natural sense of accountability, a shared focus in the room, and the quiet encouragement of knowing everyone else is tackling their own list too.

In-person day retreats

Running a business asks a lot of you.

Youโ€™re the decision-maker, the organiser, the one holding it all together. You spend so much of your time supporting clients and keeping things moving forward.

We will be hosting day retreats twice a year to give you the chance to step away from all of that for a while - designed for business owners who want to pause, reset, and be looked after for a change. A space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and spend time in the company of other people who understand what it takes to run a business when youโ€™re a 40+ woman.

The rhythm of the day is soulful and nourishing, with time to ground, reflect, move your body, and rest. Youโ€™ll be supported with calming practices, nourishing food, and space to breathe, think, and just be for a while.

Below is a sample itinerary so you can get a feel for what the day might include.

If this sounds like the kind of day your nervous system has been craving, you can join the waitlist to be the first to hear when the next retreat is announced.
